The AIKO Neostar 2P+48w is a high-quality monofacial dual glass solar panel (glass-glass) based on the innovative N-Type ABC technology (All Back Contact) – AIKO's proprietary back contact cell technology. This enables an exceptionally high output of 490 watts and a module efficiency of up to 24.5 % – one of the highest values for monofacial dual glass panels on the market. Thanks to Zero Gap technology, the cells are arranged without visible gaps – for a visually flawless, uniformly black cell surface.

The panel is built with a robust dual glass construction (glass-glass) – with 2.0 mm front and rear panes of semi-tempered glass. This protects the panel significantly better against moisture, UV radiation and mechanical stress – resulting in a considerably longer service life than conventional panels. The Neostar 2P+48w also impresses with excellent low-light performance – generating reliable electricity even on overcast days, in the morning and in the evening.

The AIKO Neostar 2P+48w is designed as a premium solution for high-end residential buildings and commercial rooftops. AIKO is certified as a BloombergNEF Tier 1 manufacturer and has been honoured with the prestigious Red Dot Award 2023. Thanks to an optimised temperature coefficient of just −0.26 %/°C, the panel maintains its output even in summer. With a 15-year product warranty (extendable to 25 years) and a 30-year performance warranty, as well as a maximum annual degradation of just 0.35 %, performance remains exceptionally stable throughout the entire service life. Mechanically, the panel withstands snow loads of up to 5,400 Pa and wind loads of up to 2,400 Pa.

What is ABC Technology?

ABC stands for All Back Contact – AIKO's patented back contact cell technology. In conventional solar panels, electrical contacts run visibly across the front surface of the cell, blocking part of the active cell area. With ABC technology, all contacts are fully relocated to the rear side of the cell – leaving the entire front surface available for uninterrupted light absorption. The result: maximum cell efficiencies, optimised performance under partial shading and a better temperature coefficient of just −0.26 %/°C – less power loss at high temperatures compared to conventional panels.

What is Zero Gap Technology?

Zero Gap technology in the AIKO Neostar 2P+48w refers to a special cell arrangement in which the solar cells are placed directly next to each other without visible gaps. This brings two decisive advantages: firstly, the active cell area on the panel is maximised – more usable surface means more output per square metre. Secondly, a visually uniform, fully black cell surface is achieved with no distracting bright gaps between cells. Combined with the back contact architecture – which leaves no visible busbars or conductive lines on the front surface – the Neostar 2P+48w is one of the most aesthetically refined solar panels on the market.
