General Information on Grid and System Protection
Depending on national regulations, power generation systems must be disconnected from the low-voltage grid in the event of impermissible voltage or frequency deviations. If the permissible limit values defined in the applicable technical rules are exceeded, the generation system is automatically disconnected from the grid. Once grid voltage or grid frequency returns to the permissible range, the system is automatically reconnected.

The enwitec Grid and System Protection (NA Protection / ENS) 10018565 is a pre-assembled, ready-to-use protection system for photovoltaic systems, battery systems, and other generation units with a total output of up to 86.3 kVA. It complies with all requirements of VDE-AR-N 4105 and VDE-AR-N 4110 and enables standards-compliant monitoring and disconnection of the generation system from the public grid. The Grid and System Protection unit is fully pre-wired, tested, and ready for immediate installation. It includes all relevant protection functions such as overvoltage/undervoltage, overfrequency/underfrequency, as well as grid and phase monitoring. This makes the device ideally suited for commercial PV systems, energy storage applications, and smaller medium-voltage connections.
