Fronius Symo GEN24 12.0 Plus SC + BYD Battery-Box HVM+ 16.6 kWh – Hybrid Inverter & Battery Storage Set

Three-phase PV storage system with 12 kW hybrid inverter and 16.6 kWh LFP battery storage – full backup power, maximum self-consumption and expandable for dynamic electricity tariffs.

The Fronius Symo GEN24 12.0 Plus SC + BYD Battery-Box HVM+ 16.6 kWh Set combines the three-phase Fronius Symo GEN24 12.0 Plus SC hybrid inverter (4,210,189,002) with the BYD Battery-Box HVM+ 16.6 kWh solar storage into a complete photovoltaic home storage system for residential use. The three-phase GEN24 Plus SC combines powerful energy management, integrated backup power and maximum compatibility with the latest module generation through increased DC input currents – ideal for TOPCon, HJT and back-contact modules. The BYD Battery-Box HVM+ relies on proven LFP technology with automatic SOC balancing and high discharge power – ideal for larger households, e-mobility and heat pumps, expandable up to 3 towers in parallel.

Features

  • Superior Current (SC): Increased DC input current for optimal compatibility with modern high-performance modules – TOPCon, HJT and back-contact.
  • Full Backup Power: Complete household supply in ~10 s – with Fronius Backup Controller or Backup Switch (sold separately). Integrated PV Point basic backup, upgradeable with PV Point Comfort.
  • LFP battery technology: Lithium iron phosphate for maximum safety, high cycle stability and long service life.
  • Modularly expandable: Up to 8 modules per tower or up to 3 towers in parallel – via BYD Combiner Box or enwitec BATBREAKER (required for parallel connection).
  • Hot water & heating with PV surplus: With Fronius Ohmpilot 9.0-3 or Ohmpilot Eco (incl. heat pump control & power-to-heat).
  • Integrated Arc Guard (AFCI): Early detection of arc faults for enhanced fire protection of the PV system.
  • Open interfaces: Easy integration of Fronius and third-party components – for a tailor-made PV system.
  • Charge your EV with solar surplus: Intelligent PV surplus charging in combination with the Fronius Wattpilot.
  • §14a EnWG compliant: Supports grid-oriented control of controllable consumption devices.

Energy Management & Dynamic Electricity Tariffs

With the Fronius Solar.web app, you can monitor generation, consumption and storage status at any time. The Fronius Energy Cost Assistant uses AI to analyse your PV production, consumption and electricity prices – automatically optimising your storage strategy based on compatible dynamic electricity tariffs. Requirements: Fronius Smart Meter IP (incl. current transformers), Solar.web Premium and a compatible dynamic electricity tariff. For applications without a dynamic tariff, the more affordable Fronius Smart Meter TS 65A is an alternative option. For current compatibility information please refer to the manufacturer or contact us before purchasing.
