Fronius Symo GEN24 3.0 Plus SC Hybrid Inverter 4,210,190,002

Three-phase hybrid inverter with integrated basic backup power and upgradeable emergency power function – maximum flexibility, ready for the next generation of modules.

The Fronius Symo GEN24 3.0 Plus SC is the three-phase hybrid inverter for photovoltaic systems of the latest generation. As part of the trusted Fronius GEN24 product family, it combines intelligent energy management, integrated backup power functionality and maximum installation flexibility – now available as an SC variant to harness the full power of the new module generation with higher DC input currents. With an increased maximum DC input current, the GEN24 Plus SC is optimally designed for modern high-performance modules, particularly current TOPCon, HJT and Back-Contact modules with large cell surfaces. The integrated PV Point backup power function supplies connected loads reliably with power via a dedicated terminal output – entirely without a battery. Using the Fronius PV Point Comfort, the manual switchover can be automated. The GEN24 Plus SC is battery and Full Backup Ready straight out of the box (Full Backup available from 6.0 kW) and can provide three-phase emergency power supply via an additional component – Fronius Backup Switch, Fronius Backup Controller or transfer switch by enwitec – keeping the system future-proof and sustainably increasing self-consumption. The complete communication package with Wi-Fi, Ethernet, web server and energy management is already integrated as standard. The integrated Fronius Arc Guard (AFCI) detects arc faults at an early stage, reliably protecting the entire system from fire hazards.

Fronius Symo GEN24 Plus SC vs. GEN24 Plus – What is the difference?

The Fronius Symo GEN24 Plus SC builds on the proven GEN24 platform and introduces three key improvements: First, SC stands for "Superior Current" – and that is exactly what it delivers: thanks to increased PV input currents, the GEN24 SC is optimally compatible with modern high-performance modules, particularly TOPCon, HJT and Back-Contact modules that are entering the market with rising operating currents. Second, the 6 to 12 kW models benefit from an increased processable DC power on the second MPP tracker, enabling a more flexible and yield-optimised design of the DC side. Third, the Fronius Arc Guard (AFCI) is now firmly integrated: it detects arc faults at an early stage and reliably protects the entire system from fire hazards.

Features

  • Superior Current (SC): Increased maximum DC input current for optimum compatibility with modern high-performance modules.
  • Integrated PV Point backup power connection: Basic backup power supply via a protected socket – optionally expandable with Fronius PV Point Comfort.
  • Fully integrated communication: Wi-Fi, Ethernet, web server, data logging and energy management are integrated as standard.
  • Battery-ready and Full Backup capable: Battery-ready straight out of the box with optional Full Backup switchover (available from 6.0 kW with Plus variant).
  • Intelligent shade management: The integrated Dynamic Peak Manager optimises yield in partial shading.
  • §14a EnWG compliant: Grid operators can regulate feed-in power when required without affecting self-consumption.
  • Charge your EV with PV surplus: In combination with the Fronius Wattpilot, your electric vehicle can be charged directly with self-generated solar power.
  • Use surplus for hot water: With the Fronius Ohmpilot or Fronius Ohmpilot Eco, PV surplus is intelligently converted into hot water or heating.
  • Zero feed-in: For customers without a feed-in permit or with corresponding requirements, the GEN24 Plus SC supports zero feed-in (Smart Meter required).

Intelligent Energy Management & Monitoring

The Fronius Symo GEN24 Plus SC is more than just an inverter – it is the centrepiece of an intelligent energy system. With the Fronius Smart Meter (sold separately) and the Fronius Solar.web App, you can monitor generation, consumption and feed-in at any time – from anywhere via smartphone or browser.

For maximum cost savings, Fronius offers the Energy Cost Assistant via Solar.web Premium: in combination with a compatible battery storage system, the system automatically detects favourable tariff periods and charges the storage when electricity is cheapest – fully automatically based on spot market prices, compatible with all dynamic electricity tariffs (e.g. Tibber, aWATTar or Octopus). Requirements: GEN24 Plus + compatible battery storage + Fronius Smart Meter IP + Solar.web Premium + flexible electricity tariff required.
