GoodWe ESA-Athena Extension Battery 1.92 kWh

GoodWe ESA-Athena Extension Battery 1.92 kWh

Extension battery for the GoodWe ESA-Athena micro storage system – stackable up to 4 units, compatible with both old and new battery modules.

The GoodWe extension battery (BAG1900-02-00P) expands the ESA-Athena micro storage system by an additional 1.92 kWh of storage capacity, further increasing the self-consumption of your plug-in solar device or balcony solar system. If you've had good experience with the base unit (1.92 kWh) but want to store more PV surplus on sunny days, this battery is easy to retrofit. With identical LFP cell technology and automatic SOC balancing, the battery can be added at any time – even in combination with already installed, older modules. This allows the storage system to grow flexibly in steps of 1.92 kWh alongside the household's increasing energy needs, up to a total capacity of 9.6 kWh.

Features

  • Easy retrofitting: Tool-free stacked installation directly on the base unit or additional modules.
  • Increased self-consumption: Extra capacity to store more solar power instead of unused grid feed-in.
  • LFP battery technology: Lithium iron phosphate for maximum safety and long service life.
  • Compatible with older modules: Automatic SOC balancing enables mixed operation of batteries of different ages.
  • Heating technology: Reliable operation down to -20°C.
  • IP65 protection rating: Weatherproof for outdoor use.

Safety Instructions:

  1. Installation by qualified personnel: The installation of a PV storage system must only be carried out by qualified professionals.
  2. Ensure ventilation: Install the storage system in a well-ventilated area to ensure heat dissipation and prevent the risk of overheating.
  3. Observe fire safety regulations: Battery storage systems should be installed at a safe distance from flammable materials.
  4. Ensure accessibility: Install the storage system in an easily accessible location to allow for safe maintenance and emergency shutdown.
  5. Mechanical safety: Ensure that the battery storage system is securely fastened and protected against tipping.
  6. Danger from high voltages: Battery storage systems can generate dangerously high voltages. Avoid contact with exposed terminals or wires.
  7. Observe polarity: Ensure that the terminals are correctly polarized to avoid short circuits and damage.
  8. Suitable cables and fuses: Use only cables, connectors, and fuses recommended by the manufacturer.
  9. Grounding: Ensure that the battery and the entire PV system are properly grounded.
  10. Avoid short circuits: Keep tools, wires, or other conductive objects away from the battery terminals.
  11. Proper use: Use the battery only for its intended purpose and under the specified conditions.
  12. Proper disposal: Batteries contain environmentally hazardous substances and must be recycled or disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations for electronic waste.
  13. Danger from residual charge: Be aware that batteries can retain dangerous residual charges even after being switched off.
  14. No modifications: Unauthorized alterations, modifications, repairs, and opening of the product are prohibited.
