HT Instruments PV-CHECKs Pro Installation Tester for PV Systems
The PVCHECKs-Pro is an installation tester for photovoltaic systems that can be used both at the 1000 volt level and at the 1500 volt level up to a short-circuit current of 40A DC, thus setting new standards. The PVCHECKs-PRO is the complete solution for fulfilling the IEC 62446-1 standards (DIN VDE 0126-23) for all common tests in category 1. It carries out all the tests required for commissioning a PV system in accordance with IEC 62446-1 on both single-sided and bifacial PV modules in automatic sequence.
In accordance with EN 62446-1, PVCHECKs-PRO compares the currently measured string with the previously measured strings in order to evaluate voltage and current differences that lie outside the specified tolerances. By measuring the solar irradiation (optional reference cell required) and the PV module temperature (optional temperature sensor required) with the external data logger SOLAR 03, PVCHECKs-PRO can extrapolate the measured values of Voc-OPC and Isc-OPC to the STC (standard test conditions: 1000 W/m2, 25 °C, AM 1.5) in order to compare them with the specified nominal values from the manufacturer's module data sheets. After each measurement, the PVCHECKs-PRO shows the result of the measurement on the display, with a corresponding evaluation (OK/Not OK).
Special function GFL: Localization of the insulation fault on a PV string (ground fault location).
In addition to the wide range of applications (1500V DC /40A DC), the PV-CHECKs-pro is characterized by the new GFL function for locating insulation faults. With the help of the Ground Fault Locator (GFL) function, insulation faults can not only be detected in principle, but also precisely localized. The PV-CHECKs-Pro shows the suspected position of a fault within a string on the display.
