LONGi Hi-MO X10 Explorer 490 Wp HPBC 2.0 Glass-Foil Solar Panel LR7-54HVH-490M
The LONGi Hi-MO X10 Explorer is a high-quality glass-foil solar panel of the latest generation, based on the innovative HPBC 2.0 technology – LONGi's most advanced back contact cell technology built on the new N-Type TaiRay wafer. This enables an exceptionally high output of 490 watts and a module efficiency of up to 24.0 % – one of the highest values in the residential and commercial rooftop segment. Thanks to an optimised temperature coefficient of just −0.26 %/°C – better than any TOPCon module – the Hi-MO X10 maintains its output even in summer.
The panel is specifically designed for residential and commercial rooftop installations and stands out through AI-supported quality assurance in manufacturing. With a maximum degradation of just 0.35 % annually and less than 1 % in the first year, performance remains exceptionally stable throughout the entire service life. With a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year linear performance warranty, as well as a guaranteed output of at least 88.85 % after 30 years, the Hi-MO X10 is built for maximum longevity.
The panel also impresses mechanically: it withstands snow loads of up to 5,400 Pa and wind loads of up to 2,400 Pa, and is certified to Hail Class 2 – tested up to 25 mm hailstone diameter at 23 m/s.
What is HPBC 2.0 & Back Contact Technology?
HPBC 2.0 stands for High Performance Back Contact 2.0 – LONGi's advancement of back contact technology, achieving an absolute efficiency increase of 1 % over the first generation. In conventional solar panels, electrical contacts run visibly across the front surface of the cell. In a back contact module, all contacts are fully relocated to the rear side – leaving the entire front surface available for uninterrupted light absorption.
The Hi-MO X10 additionally features a Zero-Busbar structure (0BB) – an intelligent soldering process that reduces energy transfer distance by 6.5 % and increases module output by an additional 5 W. The new N-Type TaiRay wafer offers improved resistance distribution, fewer impurities and a 16 % increase in break resistance.
What is Shading Optimizer Technology?
The anti-reflective coating layer with multi-layer anti-reflection film improves short-circuit current by 2.25 % and reduces short-wave reflections by over 12 % – allowing more sunlight to be effectively captured. The Bipolar Hybrid Passivation technology increases open-circuit voltage by 15 mV to 745 mV. The centrepiece is the bipolar passivation: each individual cell acts as its own bypass diode – reducing energy losses due to partial shading by over 70 % and lowering localised overheating (hotspots) by 28 %. The result: greater safety, more output, even in challenging light conditions.
Features:
- 490 Wp output & up to 24.0 % efficiency – HPBC 2.0 back contact technology
- Shading Optimizer – 70 % less energy loss from partial shading vs. TOPCon
- Zero-Busbar structure (0BB) – more output, better aesthetics
- Low temperature coefficient – only −0.26 %/°C, better than TOPCon
- Hail Class 2 – certified up to 25 mm hailstone diameter / 23 m/s
- 15-year product warranty & 30-year performance warranty – min. 88.85 % output after 30 years
