Fronius Ohmpilot & Ohmpilot Eco – PV Surplus for Hot Water & Heating

The Fronius Ohmpilot is Fronius's proven load controller for the continuously variable use of PV surplus for hot water preparation — from 0 to 9 kW, compatible with all Fronius inverters in combination with a Fronius Smart Meter. The Fronius Ohmpilot Eco is the new generation: also up to 9 kW, now with IP65 protection for outdoor installation and two key additions over its predecessor. Firstly, it enables bidirectional communication with compatible heat pumps, which automatically and in real time adapt to the available PV surplus. Secondly, the Ohmpilot Eco can also use energy from a connected battery storage system (power-to-heat) — closing the gap of the classic Ohmpilot. The Ohmpilot Eco is compatible with Fronius GEN24, Verto, and Tauro.
