Trina Solar Vertex S+ 460 Wp N-Type i-TOPCon Ultra Double Glass Full Black Solar Panel TSM-460NEG9R.25
The Trina Solar Vertex S+ is a high-quality Full Black double glass solar panel of the latest generation, based on the patented N-Type i-TOPCon Ultra technology. This enables an exceptionally high output of 460 watts and a module efficiency of up to 23.0 % – ensuring that the panel reliably generates electricity even on cloudy days or during morning and evening hours. The fully black design blends aesthetically and unobtrusively into any roof – ideal for residential and commercial rooftops.
The panel is built with a robust glass-glass construction – with 1.6 mm front and rear panes of heat strengthened glass. This protects the panel significantly better against moisture, UV radiation, salt spray, sand dust and mechanical stress – resulting in a considerably longer service life than conventional panels.
The panel is also highly resistant to mechanical stress, withstanding snow loads of up to 5,400 Pa and wind loads of up to 4,000 Pa – certified and tested. With a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year performance warranty, a maximum degradation of 1 % in the first year and only 0.4 % annually in subsequent years, and a guaranteed output of at least 87.4 % after 30 years, performance remains exceptionally stable throughout the entire service life.
What is i-TOPCon Ultra Technology?
i-TOPCon Ultra is Trina Solar's patented advancement of the proven TOPCon cell technology – also referred to as TOPCon 2.0. Compared to standard TOPCon cells, i-TOPCon Ultra brings three key improvements: dual-passivated contacts reduce recombination losses to a minimum, an integrated light trap ensures more sunlight penetrates the cell and is converted into electricity, and an optimised fine-structure grid boosts yields particularly under low irradiance conditions. The result: cell efficiencies exceeding 27 % in mass production – combined with continuous contact resistance reduction and enhanced rear-side reflection for maximum efficiency.
What is Glass-Glass / Double Glass?
In a glass-glass panel (also known as double glass), the conventional plastic backsheet is replaced by a second pane of glass. This offers several decisive advantages: glass is significantly more resistant to moisture, UV radiation and mechanical stress than conventional backsheets – and remains so over decades. Glass-glass panels are also less susceptible to microcracks on the rear side and generally achieve a longer service life and more stable long-term performance. Compared to glass-foil panels, glass-glass panels deliver guaranteed output values after 30 years that are significantly above the industry standard – a decisive advantage for the long-term value of the entire installation.
