Type 1 + 2 overvoltage protection for direct and indirect lightning strikes is suitable for use with the Fronius Symo 3.0 - 8.21, Fronius Primo 3.0 - 8.21 and Fronius Symo Hybrid inverters and thus meets the standard requirements for the installation of DC overvoltage protection near the inverter.

Overvoltage protection is equally applicable to all devices, regardless of whether 1 or 2 trackers are used. When operating with only one tracker (such as the Symo Hybrid), one input on the overvoltage protection remains unoccupied.
